Floating Offshore Wind

Description

This unit was developed in partnership with BOEM and NREL to help students explore the technology, siting considerations, and benefits of using floating offshore wind turbines in certain settings as the U.S. expands its offshore wind program. Hands-on and critical thinking activities will provide students with text and investigations that explore wind speed, electricity generation, buoyancy, floating wind technologies, careers, and more.
