8:30 a.m. The Science of Energy
Set the foundation for your energy unit by exploring what energy is through hands-on energy transformations stations. You will receive a Science of Energy Kit for your school.
10:00 a.m. Introduction to Energy Sources
Energy Round Up, Candy Collector, & Forms and Sources of Energy
Learn about our 10 energy sources, the difference between renewable and nonrenewable resources, and how we use them nationally.
11:00 a.m. Energy Source Night LIVE!
Live from North Carolina, it’s ENERGY SOURCE LIVE! Delve deeper into each energy source by selecting and participating in these interdisciplinary skits, songs, displays, or plays!
11:45 a.m. LUNCH & Networking
12:30 p.m. Performances of Energy Source Night Live
1:15 p.m. Energy Carnival & Energy Fair
Learn more about the community outreach portion of the program and explore some of the content in the Energy Fair Box. Play a few carnival games to see them first-hand.
2:00 p.m. Introduction to NC Energy Picture & Electricity Generation
How does NC compare to the U.S. for energy consumption. Learn how each of the sources contribute to electricity generation in the U.S. and N.C through Electric Connections.
