• NEED school, Park View Middle School in Cranston, R.I. has been labeled as an EPA Energy Star building! The Energy Star standard certifies an energy-efficient facility and rates those buildings in the top 25 percent of all facilities nationally, based on the EPA’s National Energy Performance Rating system.
• NEED was recently awarded a Department of Energy Hydrogen Program Research and Development Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to Hydrogen Education.
• Paradise Intermediate School science teacher and NEED TAB member, Greg Holman recently received the 2010 PG&E Solar Schools Inspirational Educator of the Year Award. He and nine Paradise Intermediate students were honored before July 17's San Francisco Giants baseball game. The Paradise Post has an article about Holman. (July 20)
